A valiant effort from our U14 footballers away to EWS last week in District League football. We opened up the scoring, thanks to good work between Stan C (9SC), Jake J (9AAW) and Rian S (9MG). Despite the teams best efforts, we never quite managed to get a second goal to control the game, despite the joy we had, down the right-side thanks Oscar M (8JDG). Conceding two goals close to half time, meant the scoreline didn't totally reflect the balance of play.
Losing three players at the break, gave EWS the momentum second half to go on and secure the game, but we continued to work hard, and carve out chances. Rhys Y (9AAW) in goal was very busy, and made numerous quality saves, including stopping a penalty late in the game. Once again, cannot fault the effort and application from this group, representing the school.
