The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership is a nationally accredited programme delivered by trained facilitators from the SWAN Teaching School Alliance. The recently reformed NPQML is for those who are, or are aspiring to become, middle leaders within a school.
The programme incorporates a blended approach to learning comprising of face to face sessions, personal reflection and learning using online materials, and work place learning.
In addition to the face to face sessions and online learning, the course will provide a 360° diagnostic tool and participants will be required to work with a school based coach during the course. Participants will also need to complete and submit an assessment focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of teaching and pupil progress within their school.
NPQML was revised in 2017 in line with the new DfE accredited programme and incorporates learning 6 modules:

Face to face sessions will take place online using Zoom on the following dates from 2:30 – 4:30pm (except the NPQ Surgery on the 9.7.2021 which is 2-4:30pm)
