Teaching School Operations Manager

25-37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Salary Grade H (£21,693 to £24,657fte)

 We require an enthusiastic and efficient Manager to join the SWAN Teaching School Alliance (SWAN TSA), based at Sponne School, Towcester to provide comprehensive admin support for all its operational activities.

The role will be pivotal to overseeing the operational activities of the Teaching School Duties will include management of the SWAN TS website, managing the bookings and requirements of course delegates & logistics, preparation and tracking of School to School Support programmes and interfacing with DfE databases when necessary. The role will involve working with the Sponne Finance Team to prepare reports for audit and DfE returns, this will include the processing of orders and invoices. The success of the programme depends on prompt and efficient communication to all relevant parties as required and effective monitoring of the viability of each element of SWAN TSA.  

The role requires a moderate degree of flexibility together with strong organisational and time management skills. The successful candidate will be part of a small team that works under the Director of Teaching School and alongside other school staff.

Pastoral Support Co-ordinator

Hours 37 hrs per week, 39 weeks per year.

Salary - Grade G to H, points 19-27- £16,631 to £21,561 pro-rata  £19,446 to £24,657 fte)


To work with and support the PLL’s in the monitoring of the students’ progress, achievement and pastoral wellbeing. With a primary focus on behaviour and attendance, this role will link with key support staff to provide a holistic view of the student and ensuring optimum access to learning.

The successful candidate will be able to project an air of authority but also be approachable and able to empathize with students. This blend of attributes should enable successful relationships to be established based on respect and trust.

The candidate should have a strong moral ethic and the ability to lead by example.
